Artichoke Magazine was created in 2011 as an initiative to revive Winters Free Press, a newspaper of Winters College. Artichoke continues to capture the energy of York University’s students. Combining photographs, articles, and poems on majors, entertainment, lifestyle, and student health.

It is a monthly non-profit magazine.

My Work

At Artichoke, I was given the opportunity to work with a team of designers, writers and photographers to create engaging editorial spreads, and in the process fostering an impactful magazine experience.

There I developed innovative creative solutions, utilizing typography, layout, and imagery while adhering to the magazine’s style guide. I also produced compelling illustrations and photographs for articles to capture the readers attention and enhance storytelling.
